You might see "Back to School" signs hanging in stores and shudder. This is the end of summer. There were more hikes to be hiked, rivers to be paddled, and patios to be lounged upon!
But the end of summer is not something to be mourned. Instead, early fall is an opportunity for forging new paths, exploring your creative side, and indulging small comforts. This is what inspired our new fall sock release.
Get Extra Curricular
We always loved going back to school. That new pencil smell, brand new binders, a fresh new start to a new year. It was a clean slate and everything was possible.
School isn't the end of summer, it's an exciting new beginning! You're not going to be the same person by the end of the year. Walk into it confidently knowing this campus is yours, and this knowledge is yours to be had. These amazing women are taking on the campus in STRETCH-IT Launch From Earth, Horsehead Nebula, and Women's One Giant Leap.
If you aren't headed back to a classroom this fall, the world is full of opportunities to quench your thirst for knowledge. The more you feed your curiosity, the hungrier it gets. The more you learn about the world around you, the more you know about yourself and can share it with the world!
That's one reason we love our jobs; we're constantly learning. The subject matter of our socks & underwear, how best to present it to you, even the technology to create the best-fitting and longest-lasting clothing—all of this requires learning. It's not just on the job either, our love for knowledge goes with us everywhere (as you might have read in our Geek Pride Day blogs). And it really shows in our new fall socks: Space Craft, STRETCH-IT Joining Elements, and Cleo-catra!
Let Your Inquisitive Nature Run Wild
Adventure doesn't stick to one season. Summer has no claim to spontaneity or once-in-a-lifetimes experiences. So, are you going to let a little drizzle get in your way? No. You're a hardcore! You're wild! Puddles were made to be splashed in. Paths are waiting to be made.
We find that our creative energy gets recharged when we allow ourselves to wander through the woods, no matter the weather. Something about the untamed wild helps us get inspired by exploring the outer reaches of our imaginations. The new paths we create outside help us create new connections in our brain. Our new fall line was inspired by this and you can see the natural connection in Well-Quailified, Darling Starlings, and Encyclopedia Botanica.
Creature Comforts in the Fall
The best part of finishing a rainy hike, is getting comfy again. Getting into warm, dry clothes? Check! Slurping on something warm? Check! Grabbing beers with your hiking buddies? Check!
Even if you love fall hikes, watching the days get shorter can be tough. Goodbye seemingly endless days of summer sun, welcoming us outside like a warm hug! Now that warm hug can be rich, steamy coffee. Catch up over coffee dates with friends you haven't seen for weeks. Maybe they've been busy traveling. Maybe you've been busy camping. Now you can both breathe for a minute and relax in Coffee Break.
Earlier sunset means more time inside. So, grab a book, a blanket, and get a cat on that lap! There's nowhere else we'd rather be—we're Booked for Meow. Whether it's kids socks for back to school, crew socks to adventure in, or knee highs to indulge your comforts, embrace the season and be yourself. And let's not forget, with summer ending, that means Halloween is right around the corner!
